Muzhappilangadu Beach

Kerala’s only drive-in beach. One can drive along its entire length of five kilometers, and take delight in watching the gently crashing waves and the swaying coconut palms. Just 5 kms from Thalassery.

Other Beaches

The other beaches in the area include the Thottada beach, situated about 8 kms from the Kannur railway station, the secluded Kizhunna Ezhara beach and Meenkunnu Chal beach, about 11 and 12 kms from the town respectively.
There are also a few less-explored beaches in Kannur, like the Chootad beach and the Ettikulam beach, which provide an idyllic and relaxed atmosphere.

Bekal Fort Beach

Situated about a kilometer from Bekal, provides a breathtaking panoramic view of the fort. The shallow waters of the beach have made it a perfect picnic spot for locals and tourists alike.
The beach boasts of various recreational spots, including a well preserved garden and a children’s park. The walkway built along the coastline offers visitors a chance to explore the coast in a safe and enjoyable way.

Kanwatheertha Beach

The scenic beach of Kanwatheertha, situated about three kilometers from Manjeswaram town, is a swimmer’s paradise. The secluded beach has a small lagoon that looks, from afar, like a large swimming pool. A swim in the lagoon in this serene setting is quite enjoyable.
The nearest railway station here is the Kasaragod railway station, which is about 30 kms from Manjeswaram.

Kappil Beach

Six kilometers from Bekal Fort. One of the cleanest tourist destinations in the state. It is considered an ideal destination for those who seek a secluded and idyllic experience.
The presence of coconut palms and casuarina trees along the golden sands of the beach adds to the charm of this secluded picnic spot. The Kodi cliffs, which are situated nearby, offer a panoramic view of the sea and the beach.
